About the Baptist Movement
Baptists are members of a large Protestant Christian religous group who reserve baptism for people who affirm their faith in Jesus Christ as their saviour. Baptists in the United Kingdom and the United States account for nearly 90 per cent of all Baptists worldwide.
As Christian's we believe that God sent Jesus into the world as the Saviour and that humanity can achieve salvation through Jesus.
We believe that there is one God, and that He created the universe and continues to care for it.
We believe that God sent His Son Jesus into the world as His chosen servant to help people fulfill their religious duties.
We believe that after Jesus' earthly life, God 's presence remained on earth in the form of the Holy Spirit. The belief that in one God there are three - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is known as the doctrine of the Trinity and is the central teaching to Christianity.
